Church School Registration Form

The elementary church school program
uses a curriculum entitled, "Living the Good News,"
from Morehouse and Church Publishing; the arts-enhancements,
and lectionary-base of the curriculum seem to appeal to various ages.
Each session involves an opening demonstration designed to peak
the children's curiosity, followed by a related Gospel story and discussion.
Often our church school teachers incorporate an art project
or game to solidify the concept/principle being presented.

The middle school program is essentially
student-driven and involves brainstorming
and implementing various community outreach projects.
Once a month, both groups come together
into what has become known as "Messy Sunday,"
to work on long-term group art projects
for the beautification of the church.
Currently all of our church school teachers
are parents of children in the program.
In addition, the youth of the parish present a pageant, usually written in-house, as the gospel lesson on Christmas Eve.
Overall, the students have a great deal of fun as they explore how to live the Good News.
